Quality Standards 

At HLB, we are committed to the highest standards of financial reporting and auditing practices, and all of our members meet strict quality criteria both nationally and internationally. 

Integrity and high quality are deeply embedded in the DNA of our network and our member firms. Our ongoing goal is to achieve the best service and highest standards in the work we do for our clients.

Forum of firms

HLB International is a member of the IFC Business Forum. The Forum of Firms is an association of 27 international networks of accounting firms that perform financial statement audits used across borders. Members voluntarily agree to comply with quality requirements such as:

– Maintaining appropriate quality control standards in accordance with the International Standards on Quality Control issued by the IAASB, in addition to relevant national quality control standards and conduct periodic internal quality control reviews coordinated globally.

-Providing policies and methodologies for the conduct of transnational audits based on International Standards on Auditing.

-having policies and methodologies that conform to the IESBA Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants and national codes of ethics.

 

Quality Control System Review Standard

The NRCC aims to establish a mechanism that allows the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants (IMCP) to verify that Public Accountants engaged in the independent professional practice, through a Firm or individually, comply with the quality standards established by the IMCP.

This mechanism starts with a written assurance that they comply with the Quality Control Standard (QCS) in effect through an implemented quality control system in their firm or practice. Also, to corroborate the implementation and efficiency of such quality control system, the IMCP performs independent reviews of individual firms and practices.

Compliance with the NRCC through the mechanism described above is applicable to all partners in the IMCP who perform audits and reviews of financial information, witness work and other related services through their individual firms or practices.

 

Code of Ethics

The member firms of HLB Mexico, commit themselves to: 

1.       Complying with the statutes, rules of operation of the referenced projects and any other regulation established by the national firm
2.     Maintaining the prestige acquired within our development environment by serving our clients with integrity and honesty and with the highest level of professional competence.
3.           Actively promoting an ethical conduct in our work environment and in our community.

4       Providing our clients with comprehensive, accurate, objective, relevant, timely and understandable professional services.

5. Respecting the confidentiality of information provided to us for the performance of our work and not using it for personal gain.
6. Acting with responsibility and due care and competence during the performance of our work without allowing our professional criteria to be influenced by any circumstance outside the material facts presented for our attention.
7. Keeping our knowledge and technical skills up to date to better serve our clients.
8. Complying with the rules and regulations of the federal government, state and local governments and any other private and/or public regulatory agency.
9. Seeking material and professional satisfaction of the personnel working in our organization as well as a good work environment.
